This is a vintage Panter Sobrino Senoritas 20 Panter Cigars, Made in Holland with Ref #720M. Panter Sobrino features a shade grown in Connecticut wrappers. This mild and yet flavorful blend provides a nutty creamy experience that seldoms disappoints. These tasty cigarillos hail from Holland and are made by Agio, one of the premiere cigar companies in the world.
The Panter brand name is introduced in 1935. The Sumatr Cigar Factory choose the Panter name necaise ot is an animal that reflects the company’s image, it is strong and flexible, a sprinter that can take great leaps. Around the same time that Panter was introduced, a sensational discovery also sees the light of day, a method whereby paper can be used as a wrapper. This represents a turning point wherein almost 90% if cigarettes around the world are still manufactured in this way.
Panter is produced by 450 people divided over three different locations in Netherlands, Veenendaal, Culemborg, and Utrecht. Together they are responsible for producing 150 million small cigars each year and in order to further stimulate the export market, the company goes into partnership with Douwe Egberts in 1971.
In 1983, Agio buys Panter brand from Douwe Egberts and starts building it into the brand that it is today, a contenporary, individual brand with a unique urban style and tone all of its own.
